Magnolia Farms is owned and operated by Darlene and Michael McElwee.
Michael has been providing outdoor landscaping services most of his life, and is responsible for growing the certified naturally grown vegetables on the farm.
Dalene worked as an events coordinator and floral designer in Palm Beach for 10 years before they decided they wanted to live in the rural beauty of Live Oak, in North Central Florida. She has traveled extensively in Europe, and brought home many ideas from the German and French farms in terms of organic gardening and holistic, sustainable farming.
Michael and Darlene teach many classes on the farm in areas related to their organic interests. Classes include:
- Growing organic and certified naturally grown
- Making goat milk soaps
- Growing shiitake mushrooms
- Balancing your body's Ph by what you eat
