Spring and Fall Groups & School ToursMagnolia Farms offers children a fun and educational tour of a real working certified naturally grown farm. We will be happy to talk about what certified naturally grown gardening means, and how it differs from the large commercial producers.
While visiting the farm, our guests will see a large variety of vegetables and herbs growing. We also have alpine and nubian goats, pastured turkeys and chickens, and a favorite with the children, our beautiful peacocks.
We enjoy teaching the children about the animals and the milk and eggs they provide. We also talk about the various soaps and lotions we make from goat milk.
Children will have an opportunity to touch many of the animals. Hand washing facilities with hot water are available, and as an extra safety precaution, children will be directed to wash their hands after petting the animals.
Spring Tour Activity: each child plants a small herb to take home
Fall Tour Activity: Pumpkin Patch and two Corn Mazes are included. Each child selects a small pumpkin from the patch. We also have a hay maze for the children to enjoy in the fall.
Attention Scouts When you make your reservation, ask about our Magnolia Farm Tour badge, which will soon be available for a small additional fee. |
Schools are welcome to bring their own lunches and to picnic at the farm, or healthy snacks and beverages can be purchased at our shop. Ask about our catering for your group.
Tours are $7 per person. Teachers and bus drivers are free to accompany the children but do not participate in the activity. Adults and siblings are required to pay admission. Goat feed is available for sale at $1 per feed cup.
